Terms of Use

TCG Compass is an event-discovery platform for trading card game events in South Africa. We publish event information so that players can find local play, and we direct players to the organiser running each event.

TCG Compass does not organise, host or run most of the events listed on the calendar. Unless a listing states otherwise, the event is run by an independent store, club or community organiser.

TCG Compass does not take event registrations, process payments, issue tickets or make bookings. Any arrangement to attend an event is made directly between you and the organiser, and we are not a party to that arrangement.

Event details are supplied by organisers and other third parties. While we review submissions before publishing them, we cannot guarantee that dates, times, venues, formats, entry fees or contact details are accurate, complete or current.

The organiser of an event remains solely responsible for registration, entry fees and payment, prize support, venue arrangements, health and safety, conduct at the event, and the fulfilment of anything promised in a listing.

Always confirm the date, time, venue, format and entry fee directly with the organiser before travelling to an event. Listings can change or be cancelled after publication.

By submitting an event you confirm that you are the organiser or have the organiser's permission, and that every detail you provide is accurate, lawful and kept up to date. Tell us promptly if a published listing changes or is cancelled.

Do not submit misleading listings, duplicate entries, advertising unrelated to a real event, spam, or events that promote illegal activity, harassment or discrimination.

We may edit a listing for clarity, formatting or accuracy, decline a submission, or remove a published listing at any time and at our discretion, without notice and without giving reasons. Publication is never guaranteed.

Trading card game names, logos and franchise marks are the property of their respective owners. They appear here for identification only and their use does not imply affiliation with, or endorsement by, those owners.

The service is provided on an “as is” basis. To the extent permitted by South African law, TCG Compass is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on a listing, from attending an event, or from any dealings with an organiser or venue.

We may update these terms as the platform develops. Continued use of TCG Compass after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
